He is responsible for technology innovation, especially 3D printing and its implementation at the design, product and manufacturing levels. adidas is one of the first companies worldwide to produce and sell products using 3D printing on an industrial scale.

Erik Wirsing has been with DB Schenker in various positions for more than 19 years and, in addition to various IT divisions, has also headed the Innovation Division for Schenker Deutschland AG since 2011. Since 2016 he has been responsible for the Innovation Division at DB Schenker Global and in this capacity reports to the CDO of Schenker AG as Vice President Global Innovation.
